Children at Killermont Primary in Bearsden have produced a charter aimed at making parents parking near the school more considerate.
The school ran a competition to design a banner and come up with a slogan to drive home the message.
Mark Stewart won the design contest and Emily Sharpe penned the catchy lines ‘parking charter makes you smarter’.
Principal teacher Alex Nicholson said: “Last session, junior road safety officers organised a competition for pupils to create a design for a school parking charter.
“They did a presentation to the Killermont Parent Council and got parents to sign up to the charter at a parenting evening. If they signed up, parents got a sticker to display on their car window. The car stickers were funded by Bearsden East Community Council.
“The parking charter was created to help parking and ease congestion outside the school at peak times when children are being dropped off and picked up.
“Junior road safety officers delivered a copy of the parking charter to the neighbuors of the school so that they were aware of the work the school has done.”
