A charity which flies all over the world helping those in need is touching down for a charity concert in Bearsden.
MAF – Mission Aviation Fellowship – is a Christian agency whose mission is to fly light aircraft in developing countries so that people in remote areas can receive the help they need and that need is huge.
Every three minutes, a MAF plane will be taking off or touching down somewhere in the world. It’s helping the sick or injured and providing access to education for millions of people.
MAF pilots and personnel deliver relief workers, doctors, pastors, school books, food, medicines – everything that can only be safely and speedily delivered by air. On a daily basis, they reach the unreachable, bringing hope and much needed relief to isolated communities.
The Ebola outbreak has only added to the urgency of their mission.
