Popular Bearsden children’s author Julia Donaldson, best known for her Gruffalo books, will be bringing her stories to life in a fun drama, song and rhyme session on Saturday, August 1O.

The event in the Baillie Gifford Main Theatre, Edinburgh, from 10am to 11am, is part of the Edinburgh International Book Festival which runs from August 10 to 26.

Children will love meeting Julia and her merry band to hear the tale of The Paper Dolls, meet Zog, the most accident prone of dragons and experience some true dino-heroism with Tyrannosaurus Drip.

There will be songs to sing, many wonderful stories told and you may even also spot that rare creature, , The Gruffalo.

Julia Donaldson began her writing career as a singer/songwriter for children’s television.
