SCROOGE council bosses have put a ban on SANTA.
Edenmill Farm Shop, near Strathblane, put out bales of hay dressed as Father Christmas next to the A809 near their shop.
But Stirling Council busybodies demanded they be binned - in case they Santa Claus a crash.
Manager Mark Gibson said: “We’ve been putting them up for about five years and have never had any complaints and they’ve never caused any problems. But we got a letter telling us to remove them because they are a ‘danger to the public highway’.
“It’s a bit of fun for Christmas - banning Santa seems a bit heavy-handed.”
A spokesman for Stirling Council said: “We asked for the hay bales to be removed as we were concerned there was a potential for accidents.”
ELF HAZARD . . . the Santa hay bales which have been banned by Stirling Council.
