LOCAL rock band The Turn are on the lookout for a new guitarist.

They are a six piece group plays feel good music from the 60s and 70s plus a bit of jazz.

More often then not they will have a bucket for donations to be made to the Yorkhill Children’s foundation and have played at the Mugdock Park Theatre, The Gleddock House Hotel, Bearsden Golf Club and The Fraser Centre.

Their rhythm guitarist has recently had to quit because of the travel requirements and they are looking for a replacement.

Age is not a barrier but Karen Forbes (keyboard) and Ron Kihlken (drums) are both recently retired and hope they can find a senior citizen out there who can play the guitar and would like to practice weekly and do their bit for the community.

If you fancy it, give Ron a call on 0141 942 0078 to get more information.

The band will play at the Frazsr Centre Dinner Dance which will be held at the Milngavie Town Hall on December 14.
