East Dunbartonshire Conservative Association has selected Andrew Polson to fight the constituency at next year’s general election.
Mr Polson, who studied at Douglas Academy in Milngavie, is station manager and director of the local community radio station Revival FM and is also heavily involved in charity event management.
Andrew Polson said: “As a former pupil in Milngavie I feel extremely privileged to have been selected to fight the East Dunbartonshire seat for the general election.
“I would like to thank the association for putting their trust in me and giving me the opportunity to serve the people of this constituency.
“The Conservative Party has had a good year in Scotland and I firmly believe that we will maintain momentum going into next year’s general election where every vote will really count.
“ I’ve spent the last 15 years successfully building up community groups across the west of Scotland and I firmly believe that communities achieve most when people come together.
“I want to use this election campaign to build more partnerships across the community, that will help build a healthier, stronger and more prosperous future for all the people of East Dunbartonshire.”
Andrew Polson is a talented singer and pianist.
He leads the Gospel Heirs, a well known gospel singing group with a number of CDs released.
He is also a producer of recording artists and has made several video productions.
