Residents are being urged to take part in a consultation by East Dunbartonshire Council to help protect threatened plants, animals and insects in this area. People are invited to comment on a new draft Local Biodiversity Action Plan. The consultation runs until Monday, September 12.

Councillor Alan Moir of the Regeneration Committee said: “Biodiversity is a fundamental part of all of our lives, in our urban parks, gardens and countryside, providing us with everything from food and shelter to the air we breathe.” To access plans, visit https://www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk/residents/planning/planning-policy/biodiversity
