A pregnant woman had to be cut free from a car after two vehicles were in collision at Bishopbriggs last night (Sunday).

Fire fighters using hydraulic rescue equipment had to remove the roof from the car after the crash at Kirkintilloch Road at the junction with Cowden Drive, around 10.10pm.

She and two other women, who also had to be freed from the second vehicle, were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but it is not believed anyone was seriously injured.

The road was closed for two hours after the accident.
