MOTORISTS on rural roads across East Dunbartonshire will notice fewer potholes thanks to a special treatment which is being carried out.
‘Jet patching’ is an effective process to repair potholes and the council has hired two specialised contractors to carry out the work.
A number of roads Craigmaddie Road, Craigton Road and Baldernock Road in Milngavie and The Loan, Windyhill Golf Course Road and Chesters Road in Bearsden, have already undergone the treatment.
Head of roads David Devine, said: “Harsh winters can really leave their mark on our roads and this process is a highly effective way of repairing potholes on rural roads. In the right conditions, the average Jetpatcher repair can take just two minutes.”
More works are planned in the coming weeks on Dowan Road, Milngavie, Peel Glen Road Bearsden as well as a number of roads around Torrance and Balmore.
