Police appeal for information after man attacked in Partick

The police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in the Partick area of Glasgow last Friday (July 3).

Around 11.30pm a 27-year-old man was in Victoria Park with his friends when they were approached by a large group of youths aged 16 to 20.

The group chased them from the park and attacked the victim on Westland Drive.

He was taken to the South Glasgow University Hospital where staff described his condition as stable.

Detective Constable Jacqueline MacIntyre said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened to contact police via the non-emergency number 101.
