Pianist starts the international concert series

Renowned Japanese pianist Noriko Ogawa is going to open Milngavie Music Club’s International Concert Series on Friday, October 18.

Since her success at the 1987 Leeds International Piano Competition, Noriko Ogawa has become one of the most loved and respected pianists around the world. Beginning with Mozart and Beethoven, her programme for the Music Club includes works by Takemitsu and Debussy, two composers whose complete piano works she has recorded to widespread acclaim.

Milngavie Music Club has a large and growing audience who appreciate its superb concerts, friendly informality and the delightful ambience of the venue.

She will perform at 7.30pm in Cairns Church, Milngavie. Tickets £12, students £5, school age children get in free. Available from Milngavie Bookshop, The Iron Chef or Cairns Church on the night.
