Saturday sports fixtures - hockey: 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI, 1st year A & B (A); 3rd year B & C, 2nd year A & B (H) v Marr College, 2nd year C, Transitus B (H) v Beaconhurst School, Transitus A (A) George Watson’s College P7 tournament, boys’ hockey: Beaconhurst School (H), rugby: 1st XV, U16 XV, 3rd year A (H); 2nd Yr A, 1st year A, Transitus B (A) v Morrison’s Academy 2nd XV (A); Transitus A, J6 A & B (H) v St Columba’s School, 2nd year B, 1st year B (A) v Marr College.

Sunday is a Duke of Edinburgh silver day walk.

The High School of Glasgow Junior School class diary:

Monday - Gordon McCracken will lead morning assembly. Junior 5S will visit the Burrell Collection in the morning and Junior 5G/L will visit in the afternoon.

The Glasgow Primary Schools’ swimming finals will be held at Whitehill Pool after school.

Tuesday - there will be a ski slalom competition at Glencoe.

Wednesday - there will be a trombone demonstration by Lance Green on in the morning. Junior 6 will visit the Science Centre Planetarium and in the afternoon Théâtre sans Frontiéres perform to Junior 5 and Junior 6.

Thursday - is World Book Day. Junior 2 visit Mugdock Country Park.

Friday - there will be a drop-in coffee day for parents from 8.30am to 10am, 11.30am to midday and 2.15pm to 3pm. In the afternoon, Junior 1M will have an afternoon tea and entertainment for invited grannies and grandpas and Junior 5 will visit St Andrew’s Church.

Saturday - in the morning Junior 6 boys rugby teams will play Stewart’s Melville College at home.

Sunday - the home and school association ladies’ lunch will be held at the Grand Central Hotel for the Beatson Young Adult Cancer Trust.
