Kelvinside Academy

THE school’s flying season has started.

Kelvinside Academy RAF cadets donned their flying suits and took to the skies, to take part in the Air Experience Flying (AEF) programme.

KA Air cadets have the great fortune of being one of only two CCF contingents parented with No. 4 AEF at Glasgow airport, resulting in a significant number of flying sorties available to each cadet.

Of course, they’re all subject to the West of Scotland weather!

The S3 air cadets who have flown thus far say that it’s an awesome experience.

Cadet Kaitlin Murdoch (S3) from Bearsden, said: “I was excited about going flying, but my experience of it was far better than I expected.”
