A new three-day Octoberfest will take place at Milton of Campsie Village Hall from October 21.
The event, supported by G66+Live, will feature art, music, dance and ale tasting, replaces the annual St Andrew’s Festival.
Running over the entire weekend, October 21-23, Milton of Campsie Art Club will providing a fine display of 70 original paintings, while superb musicians will come from far and wide to entertain.
Following the free Exhibition Opening Reception at 5.30pm on Friday, October 21, there’s a folk concert and ceilidh dance at 7pm.
By popular demand the Lydia De Rosa Singers are back for a concert on Saturday, October 22.
The Sunday afternoon jazz will include Stevie’s Up-town Band and Chris Clark on guitar, singing jazz classics. There will be fine Fairtrade refreshments at all times and real ale sampling and rating during event intervals.
With help from East Dunbartonshire Arts Council, Milton of Campsie Art Club has again produced an excellent calendar of original paintings priced at only £3. Last year it was a sell-out.
