National Trust for Scotland Bearsden & Milngavie Members’ Centre are
holding a talk about the National Mining Museum on November 13 at 7-30pm in Milngavie Town Hall.
The speaker, Robert McDonald, will tell us about the history and development of the museum which was created in 1984 to preserve the physical surface remains of Lady Victoria Colliery, Edinburgh. The colliery, sunk by the Lothian Coal Company, came into production in 1894 and is a fascinating place to visit. Come along and find out more. Entry is free to members and a small charge is made for non members.
