Mr Norval, former course director of Douglas Academy Music School, presents Chief Executive of Bobath Scotland, Stephanie Fraser, with a cheque for £754 with pupils Abigail Millar Todd S4 and Emily Tang S6 and Mr Mark Evans, current course director of the Music School.

Bobath Scotland provides specialist therapy and support for children and adults with cerebral palsy, enhancing mobility, communication and independent living skills thus improving their quality of life.

The money was raised at the Music School’s Variety Concert which marked Derek Norval’s many years of service to the school after his recent retirement. Bobath Scotland was Mr Norval’s charity of choice being locally based and having performed with students from Douglas Academy at a number of Bobath fundraising events. Having met children and adults with cerebral palsy receiving therapy he recognises the valuable contribution it makes to their lives. Go to www.bobathscotland.org.uk for more information.
