MP Jo Swinson visited her former school to engage with students in debate and discussion about life in politics.
She visited her old haunts at Douglas Academy in Milngavie as part of its careers day and spoke to S2 pupils.
The MP then joined the school’s debating club to discuss the motion ‘This house would set a maximum limit for salaries’.
Ms Swinson said: “It was great to be back at Douglas Academy, which is always a bit of a trip down memory lane for me.
“It was also great to share tips and techniques with the debating club, who are entering debating competitions in the new year.
“I was impressed by the pupils’ enthusiasm for putting their cases across on what is a very interesting topic - far more civilised that that of the Commons chamber during PMQs!”
