Milngavie Mountaineering Club is gearing up for the winter season with a number of outing next month.

The small friendly club, which recently celebrated its 27th birthday, has a diverse range of activities with visits to the Cuillin Ridge on Skye, to less testing days in the Borders on the scenic Pennine Way path.

Club president Fraser Gold from Milngavie said: “We recently had a day visit to Glen Coe in which four Munros were claimed.

“With the addition of a number of new members, the programme for the future is likely to concentrate on going to new areas and increasing the Munro tally.”

Outing planned in November include a trip to the Lake District November 9/10 and a Sunday trip to the Blackmount in the Highland on 24th. More info at www.MilngavieMountaineeringClub.org.
