Missing man from Balfron was heading to Milngavie

The police are asking for members of the public to help them find a man who has gone missing from Balfron.

William Miller (62) was last seen getting on a Glasgow bound bus in Balfron at about 1pm on Wednesday, January 6.

It is not known what William’s intentions were but he bought a ticket for Milngavie.

William is described as 5ft 10 to 6ft tall, medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue & grey t-shirt, black hooded water proof jacket with ‘DOUGLAS PARK’ logo on left breast, carrying a black small rucksack, and he wears a white faced analogue watch with a brown leather strap.

Sergeant Adrian Robertson said: “William going missing is quite out of character. He bought a ticket to travel to Milngavie, but we don’t know what his intentions are after that. We know he has friends in the Bonhill area. We are making enquiries in these areas.”

Anyone who knows where William is or may have seen him can help by phoning the Police on 101.
