A TALENTED Milngavie musician is going to perform with her band The North Atlantic Trio on Saturday night from 8pm at the Griffin pub on Bath Street, Glasgow.

Cheyenne (27) is from Alaska but has been based in Scotland for the past nine years - Milngavie for the last six, where she has studied the Scottish harp and works to perform and teach the Scottish harp locally and abroad.

In The North Atlantic Trio she plays in a mostly Scottish way with a Scottish guy who plays dobro in a mostly American way and an Irish guy who plays percussion she says, ‘any way’. The double-header concert will also feature the John Hinshelwood Band.

Tickets cost £6, visit www.northatlantictrio.com to book.

Cheyenne is also offering beginning harp classes for adults with harps provided, starting next week for a 12 week course. She said: “This is a stress-free, low-cost way to have a harp to practise on and see if you like it. It’s also suitable for beginners looking to spend extra time working on technique.” Email her at info@cheyenneharp.com.
