Loch Lomond Shores has a jam-packed programme of free events this October holiday with fun-filled activities for all the family.

Back by popular demand is the incredible Animal Man’s Mini Zoo which returns to the Mall on Thursday, October 17.

With an astonishing array of farm animals, reptiles, rodents and creepy crawlies, children can interact and learn all about these wonderful creatures.

Also making a special appearance in the Mall is ‘Pirate Jock from the depths of the Loch’.

This unique event on Friday, October 18 will allow children to meet real life Pirate Jock who has brought to his desert island a variety of pirate costumes for children to dress up in.

Children are also welcome to come dressed up in their own costumes with a special prize on the day for the best dressed.

More entertainment comes in the form of dancing performances from the hugely talented members of Haldane Youth Services, the amazing Drakes of Hazard dog and duck show, and the unmissable and hilarious ‘Big Shuggie’, the 10ft Scotsman, who delights visitors with his cheeky antics.

It’s also anticipated that the brand new Bird of Prey Centre, with over 25 species, will open its doors in time for the October holiday since moving to its new site at Loch Lomond Shores.

Rachael Cook, Loch Lomond Shores Marketing Manager, said: “We’ve put together a fantastic variety of free events that we hope our visitors will enjoy this October holiday. Whether you’re looking to entertain the little ones or wanting to enjoy some shopping and a relaxing lunch, Loch Lomond Shores is unrivalled with its incredible loch-side setting for the perfect day out.”
