Look out that old lotto ticket - it could be worth £83,916

PEOPLE are being urged to check their pockets, wallet, bags and down the back of the sofa - because they may have the winning ticket for a lottery prize worth nearly £84,000.

Someone, who bought their ticket in the West Dunbartonshire area, could literally be sitting on a fortune because the prize of £83,916 has not been claimed yet.

The search is now on to find out who matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto draw on Saturday, July 16 2011. The numbers on that date were 4, 9, 13, 15, 18, 40 and the bonus ball was 30 and the winner has until 5.30pm on Thursday, January 12 2012 to claim their prize.

If no one comes forward before then the prize money plus all the interest it has generated will go to the Good Causes – adding to the £26 billion already raised through sales of lottery tickets since The National Lottery launched in November 1994.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life. We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

“We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”

If you think you have the winning ticket call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
