World famous pianist is coming to Milngavie

INTERNATIONAL piano star - Steven Osborne - is coming to Milngavie soon as part of Milngavie Music Club’s international series of concerts.

Steven, one of Scotland’s biggest classical music stars, is going to perform at Cairns Church tomorrow (Friday) January 11 at 7.30pm.

He has given recitals in many of the world’s most prestigious venues in Europe, North America and the Far East. His concerto performances have taken him to some of the world’s most famous orchestras and are frequently broadcast and he’s made eight appearances at the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall.

He will play a superb programme of Schubert and Beethoven in Milngavie culminating with Beethoven’s last sonata - music that goes to the very heart of piano literature. For more information go to www.milngaviemusic.org.

Tickets for this concert, which is shared with Kilmardinny Music Circle, cost £10, £5 for students and they are free to school pupils. They are available from Milngavie Bookshop, The Iron Chef and Cairns Church from 7pm on the night.
