Women of Influence trophy for Bearsden rower Katherine Grainger

OLYMPIC gold medal rower Katherine Grainger was named Action for Children Scotland’s Women of Influence in Glasgow this recently.

The former Bearsden Academy pupil (37) was given the award to celebrate the remarkable achievement in winning gold in London last summer with rowing partner Anna Watson.

Grainger won silvers at the previous three games and is also a six-times world champion.
