Woman killed in Bearsden car crash is named

A 60-year-old woman who died in a car crash in Bearsden yesterday (Monday, March 31) has now been named by the police as Mary Geddes of Allander Road, Bearsden.

She died at the scene after her Vauxhall Corsa collided with a large goods vehicle low loader at around 8.15am on Boclair Road at the junction with Ardoch Road.

The 26 year-old male driver of the LGV was uninjured but badly shaken as a result of the crash.

Sergeant Alex Andrews of the road policing unit based at Helen Street, Glasgow, is appealing for any witnesses to the crash to contact Police Scotland on 101.
