Witnesses being asked to come forward for accident at Glengoyne Distillery

CENTRAL Scotland Police are appealing for information about a car and driver that hit a woman outside Glengoyne Distillery, Dumgoyne, near Killearn.

The incident happened on Sunday, January 6 at around 5.55pm on the A81 Blanesmithy to Blanefield Road.

A 25-year-old woman was knocked down by a car travelling northbound towards the Killearn junction. The car is thought to have been a small red hatchback and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have any information about this incident.

Sergeant Gregor McFarlane said: “We are extremely keen to trace the driver of the car and we are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area around this time to come forward.”
