A fizz, fish ‘n’ fun night could be just the thing to raise your flagging post-festive spirits - so boogie on down to Bearsden Burgh Hall on Saturday, February 1 and join in the revelry - and all in a good cause.
The evening is the latest fundraiser being run by White Lily, the local cancer charity which has raised over a £1million to fund diagnostic equipment and research at The Beatson, West of Scotland Breast screening clinic and Stobhill Hospital.
The White Lily Fund was established in 1994 by a group of ladies to raise both awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Research.
The Beatson Oncology Research Centre at Garscube has purchased specialist equipment with the funding from the White Lily Fund and a laboratory which has been named after the fund is searching for that ‘miracle cure’ the world has been waiting for.
The success of the White Lily Fund is due to the success and complete dedication of the committee members who work tirelessly to raise these funds supported by friends and family.
It’s a bring your own bottle night but a glass of fizz will welcome patrons on arrival - and the £19.50 ticket price also includes a Romy’s fish supper, delicious dessert and music from amazing tribute band Feeva until midnight.
Feeva specialise in pop, rock and Motown from the 60’s through to the 90’s - there will be something for everyone.
So get some friends together and take a table or go along and meet some new faces - either way you’re sure to have a great fun night.
Tickets are available from Romy’s or Beauty Within from Liana, both at Hillfoot, Bearsden - and hurry, the remaining tickets will sell out fast!
