“The BID means business and is ready to deliver on its business plan”.
That was the message from Ian Lavrie, the Chairman of the interim board of directors of the newly incorporated Milngavie Town Centre BID Company.
In a month that also sees nominations close for the not-for-profit limited company’s board of directors, the company is also recruiting a BID manager on a five year fixed term contract to manage the delivery of the BID Business Plan.
The position requires an enthusiastic and experienced manager and is salaried for 25 hours per week. The manager will be responsible for helping to deliver the diverse environmental, marketing and business support projects contained in the BID’s business plan.
The BID has secured additional free fundraising support to boost the company’s income.
Applications are invited by CV and covering letter with a closing date of Monday, May 19.
In addition, a graduate intern will be recruited (at no cost to Levy payers through a Scottish Government scheme ‘Adopt an Intern’) to work as a fundraising executive over 17 weeks later this year.
The purpose of the post, also based in the Police Station, will be to apply for grants and other external funding sources to match the contribution being made by businesses to the scheme. Meanwhile, all Levy-payers are being encouraged to become formal members of the Company in order to ensure that they are able to vote at the AGMs of the Company and on any resolutions.
