Talented young musicians invited to a free open evening in Milngavie

YOUNG musicians are being invited to a free Bearsden Young Fiddlers open evening at Cairns Church Hall in Milngavie on Sunday (February 24) from 3pm to 3.45pm.

The Bearsden Young Fiddlers were formed in 2000 by Conductor Angela Franchi and are made up of young musicians with an interest in playing traditional Scottish music.

They rehearse from the end of August to November with one final concert at the end of that time.

The group meet on Sunday afternoons in Cairns Church, Buchanan Street, Milngavie.

If you are aged 10 to 16 years old, play the violin, accordion or guitar and are Grade 2 or above, why not join one of Scotland’s most successful Junior Scottish Fiddle Orchestras?

Go along to the open evening with a parent or guardian, listen to the music, and meet and chat with the organisers. Refreshments will also be served.

To reserve a place for this special evening, telephone Barbara MacLeod, secretary on 0141 569 7356.
