Police are urging drivers to remove valuables from their vehicles and to make sure they lock them following a spate of thefts in East Dunbartonshire.

Officers have advised motorists to always close the windows and sunroof, lock the doors and activate any security devices when leaving a car unattended.

Park with care, particularly at night or if leaving a vehicle for a long time and, if possible, park in a busy, well-lit area.

Police have also urged people to never leave cash, credit cards, mobile phones or other valuables in the car.
