Police swoop after Bearsden ‘abduction’ drama

A MAJOR investigation is underway after police received a report of a man being forced into a car in Milngavie Road, Bearsden.
The incident happened outside a row of shops in the Kessigton area, near Asda, on Friday evening, February 1.
It is understood that the victim managed to break free and enquiries are ongoing.
There was a heavy police presence and the area was cordoned off on Friday night and Saturday.
Police have searched and sealed off a run-down farm near Port Glasgow, Inverclyde - and the Milngavie and Bearsden Herald understands that this is part of the investigation into the alleged abduction.
A Strathclyde Police spokeswwoman said: “Our enquiries are continuing.”
