After an intensive search the police recovered two luxury cars which were stolen from the driveway of a house in Bearsden.
The Porsche Cayenne worth £30,000 and Volkswagen Beetle worth about £15,000 were taken during a house break-in at about 3am on Tuesday, August 26 in new housing estate Robert Burns Drive, Bearsden.
Police Scotland found both vehicles on the same day - the Volkswagen Beetle in Bearsden at 4am and the Porsche Cayenne was in North Glasgow parked and unoccupied.
The police are still making enquiries to trace the culprit(s). If any member of the public saw or heard any person(s) acting suspiciously before or after the incident please contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with any information.
Police Scotland would also like to remind all vehicle owners of the following safety points to reduce the risk of vehicle crime.
Community liaison officer, Constable Alex Moore, said: “Before you leave your vehicle ask yourself - have I removed the key from the ignition?
“Also check that all the windows have been put up and all the doors are locked.
“Make sure that you have removed all valuables from sight in the car, including your handbag or any other bags and the GPS.
“It’s also sensible to make sure that you haven’t left anything with your personal or address details in the vehicle.
“Park in a secure and well lit area and ensure that vehicle keys are out of reach from doors and windows in your home as criminals use poles or fishing rods to reach them.”
