Police appeal for witnesses for suspected wilful fire-raising in Milngavie

Police are investigating a fire at a house in Milngavie in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday) which they believe was started deliberately.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze on Graham Drive, which happened at around 3am, and a 50-year-old man was rushed to the Western Infirmary where he was treated for smoke inhalation before later being released.

Police Scotland officers from Kirkintilloch police office are treating the fire as wilful and they would like to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw someone or a group of people hanging about or acting suspiciously in any way.
