Partick Thistle manager McNamara and assistant Donnelly move to Dundee United

PARTICK Thistle manager Jackie McNamara has announced he is leaving Firhill and moving to Dundee United in a deal that will also see assistant manager Simon Donnelly follow him.

At a meeting on Tuesday afternoon, McNamara and Donnelly discussed their intentions with the Thistle board of directors who reluctantly agreed to the move.

Team captain Alan Archibald will step in as mangager in the interim for this Saturday’s away game to Cowdenbeath.
