Music lovers will enjoy a varied line-up of acts by talented musicians at this year’s Mugdock Music Festival - which is back by popular demand.
This is the third year that the event has been organised by artistic director Stevie lawrence and he’s excited to host the event and welcome such a fantastic group of artists to the park.
The event runs from Thursday, November 7 to saturday, November 9 at Mugdock Country Park near Strathblane.
Stevie said: “The festival’s been building a good reputation and we were delighted to be nominated in the category of best small festival at this year’s Scottish Events Awards. We have a great team for the festival and that has been the key to it’s success.
“The theatre is great for that ‘up close and personal’ show and creates a special atmosphere for artists and audience alike.
“I’m delighted to have JJ Gilmour headline the first concert on Thursday 7.
“Dave Arcari will bring his own brand of blues to the Friday evening show and we have Graeme Clark performing his last solo show before going back on the road with Wet, Wet, Wet in December.”
They also have a great line up of opening acts with Kat Healy, Al Fleming and Craig Jeffrey.
The shows will be recorded by Celtic Music Radio to be broadcast later in 2013 or early 2014. This recording will also be aired by Blues and Roots Radio who are based in Port Credit, Ontario. They are powered by Haze FM who are Canada’s largest commercial internet radio station.
Stevie added: “It’s shaping up to be a great week and we are really looking forward to a great festival.
“Here’s hoping that it will be bigger and better than ever before!”
