More honours in the offing for Olympic star Katherine Grainger

OLYMPIC gold medal rower Katherine Grainger has been shortlisted for a top award for women.

The former Bearsden Academy pupil is one of the finalists for this year’s Women of Influence Award, which recognised and celebrates the women who have had an extraordinary impact on Scottish society.

Grainger is the only British woman to win medals in four consecutive Olympic Games.
