Jo gets new job

EAST Dunbartonshire MP Jo Swinson has landed a new job as a chief aide to the Deputy Prime Minister.

The switch came in a mini-reshuffle at Westminster last week following Chris Huhne’s resignation as energy secretary after it was announced he will face charges for allegedly getting his then wife to take penalty points on her driver’s licence for him.

Ed Davey MP was promoted to Mr Huhne’s Cabinet position and Norman Lamb, formerly deputy PM Nick Clegg’s parliamentary private secretary, replaces him as a business minister, with Ms Swinson being moved to Mr Lamb’s post.
