In pictures: taking to the streets of Milngavie to save St Joseph’s

Hundreds of people took to the streets on Saturday to demand East Dunbartonshire Council drops its plans to axe St Joseph’s Primary School.

Such a move would end Catholic schooling in Milngavie - and has been bitterly opposed by pupils, parents, community and church leaders and politicians.

Councillors will decide its fate on Thursday, May 15.
