Your views are needed to help formulate a plan for the future of open spaces in East Dunbartonshire.
Residents and businesses are being invited to comment on the draft Open Space Audit and Strategy for East Dunbartonshire which will provide a framework for current and future open space provision.
East Dunbartonshire has a wealth of open space - ranging from formal parks and playing fields to local nature reserves and green corridors, paths, cycleways and waterways.
The strategy strives to protect open space and make improvements to encourage greater use by residents and visitors.
The finished framework will help the planning system encourage and promote the best ways to manage and use open spaces, and identify current and future needs of sites.
The formal consultation period has started and will run until Friday, August 15. Copies of the strategy are available at libraries and council receptions at the Marina and Broomhill and online by visiting www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk. E-mail comments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
