Give your mum a Mother's Day treat thanks to Taylor Ferguson and your Herald

YOUR Herald has teamed up with Milngavie's own celebrity stylist Taylor Ferguson to offer you and your mum a special prize pamper package to celebrate Mother's Day.

Taylor is known as Scotland's "hairdresser to the stars" and has looked after a list of A-list personalities as well as his client base of loyal and regular customers for more than three decades.

To mark this year's Mother's Day — on Sunday, March 14 — Taylor is offering you the chance to pamper your mum with a prize of haircare and beauty — and give mum a well-deserved makeover for the spring ahead.

Boys or girls can nominate their mums — either way the winning entry duo will be invited into Taylor's Glasgow Bath Street salon to enjoy a session of pampering and preening!

So tell us no more than 30 words why you think your mum deserves the treat.

The winning mum will have a consultation with Taylor, a cut/blow-dry or cut/colour, Intensive in-salon treatment to enhance hair condition and appearance, a professional make-up session using YSL Beaute range of cosmetics and a goody bag of Schwarzkopf home haircare products.

The person who nominates their mum, boy or girl, will have a consultation with one of Taylor's team of experienced stylists and a cut/blow-dry and both will be able to experience the pampering at the same time.

Taylor said: "Mums are the most important people in the world. My own mum is 93 and I'll be spoiling her on Mother's Day too. It's good to treat your mum to something special on this big day of the year."

The Taylor Ferguson salon offers a range of gift ideas including hair and beauty gift vouchers from 25.

If you're not lucky in the competition, take advantage of a special 20 off a cut/blow-dry for first-time customers (Mondays-Thurdays appointments only).

It doesn't stop at that — there's more. The lucky mum will also be presented with a beautiful hand-tied bouquet by Ann Marriot of Milngavie's fabulous new florist and gift shop, Bluebell Wood, in Station Road.

Anne has flowers for mum to suit most budgets from bunches, through bouquets, hand-ties and beautiful Mother's Day basket and other special arrangements.

For weddings, Bluebell Wood can supply all floral requirements from the buttonholes, through the bridal sprays or bouquets to the church and wedding venue floral decorations as well as centre pieces for all manner of special occasions.

Talking of special occasions, gift ideas at Bluebell Wood include items such as vases, exotic candles, candle and plant holders — to name but a few.

Make sure you get your copy of this week's Milngavie and Bearsden Herald to enter the competition and to get a 20 off voucher.
