The annual charity concert for the Suzy Fund in memory of
local legend Erne Parkin will be held in Milngavie on Friday, January 31.
It takes place in the Fraser Centre and tickets are £10 and are available from the Milngavie Bookshop and the Iron Chef in Milngavie Precinct.
A bar is available and nibbles included.
Slowtrain, a four piece band will be playing live and will welcome some great guests such as Mike Simons, Chris Parkin, Shawn and Ryan Corbett plus Iain Reekie.
Doors open 7pm and the show starts 8pm.
The gig commemorates local legend Erne Parkin, who worked tirelessly to promote music and the performing arts before his sudden death in July 2009.
He was famous for his events, including Mugdock Music Festival, and parties – especially his new year get-together.
The Suzy Fund – Erne’s favourite charity – helps to feed children in Africa.
John McNamara, one of the event’s organisers, said: “Erne is much missed, but the annual gig is a great way of paying tribute to him.
“The Suzy Fund was very dear to him and all proceeds from the night will go to it.
“As always, it will be a great night, so get yourself along!”
