Folk music coming to St Joseph’s Church in Milngavie

FANS of folk music will be thrilled to hear that St Joseph’s Church in Milngavie is hosting one of Lentfest’s innovative folk session nights on Tuesday, February 19 at 7.30pm.

Lentfest is a festival run by AGAP (the Archdiocese of Glasgow’s Arts Project) wich brings music and the arts to local communities.

The evening features the 5-piece Morgan Lee Band with their eclectic mix of Celtic, traditional and contemporary folk music. The critically acclaimed instrumental duo of Stevie Lawrence and Fiona Cuthill (members of Scottish folk group Rallion) will also be appearing and Milngavie-based folk duo Inveronich (Joe and David Murray) offer their own close-harmony interpretations of traditional songs and ballads.

It promises to be a lively and entertaining evening. Everyone welcome.

Tickets (£7) are available online from.lentfest.co.uk or at door. Please take your own refreshments.
