Emergency meeting about Bearsden Primary School proposed closure

AN emergency meeting has been organised by Bearsden North Community Council to discuss the wider implications of the council’s primary schools improvement programme which is currently out for public consultation.

They will specifically be talking about the proposed closure of Bearsden Primary School and East Dunbartonshire MP Jo Swinson has agreed to chair the meeting.

They also expect a speaker from the council, someone from Bearsden Primary School parent council and traders. There will also be a question and answer session. It will be held on Friday, February 1 in Bearsden Cross Parish Church at 8pm.
