Elderly couple knocked down
AN elderly couple were knocked down as they crossed Drymen Road near Bearsden Cross.
The accident happened at around 2.20pm last Thursday.
Eye-witnesses said the man and woman were hit by a car coming out of New Kirk Road.
Police and ambulance crews rushed to the scene and the couple were taken to hospital.
Drymen Road was closed for several hours afterwards.
Police said their enquiries into the accident are on-going.
