Children wrote their reasons for keeping St Joseph’s in Milngavie on to individual paper hands and attached them to a ‘tree’ in the foyer of St Joseph’s Church in Milngavie last Saturday after the protest march which attracted about 500 people.
The event was organisedby campaigners who want Milngavie’s only Catholic school to remain in the town.
Emma Whitfield, parent, said: “It was amazing. The number of people there shows the absolute strength and depth of feeling for St Joseph’s to remain in Milngavie.
“Supporters aren’t just parents and children from the school, people from across the Milngavie community, parishioners from St Joseph’s church, friends and families.”
