Beat bogus callers

MEMBERS of the public are being invited to go along to a friendly and informal talk in Milngavie on Thursday, March 7 for advice on how to deal with bogus callers.

Constable Alex Moore from Kirkintilloch police office, said: “Bogus caller crimes can affect anyone in the community and they can have a profound effect on the victim.

“We are encouraging people to come along to this event for advice about personal safety and how to prevent cold calling on the telephone and unwanted mail.”

It starts at 6.30pm in the Fraser Centre, Douglas Street and there will be tea and coffee.
