Bearsden sports presenter Alison Walker needs your vote in dance contest

TV SPORTS presenter Alison Walker from Bearsden and professional dancer Graham Fox are going to compete against six other celebrity couples to be crowned (A Little Less) Strictly Come Dancing Champions 2013.

They will take to the dance floor on Saturday night (March 16) at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel to raise funds for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. It promises to be one of the most glamorous nights of the year with the tickets sold out almost as soon as the 2012 event was over.

Alison - who has never danced before - and Graham - have been training for weeks to perfect a special salsa routine danced to the famous Dirty Dancing music Johnny’s Mambo. The fabulous 18-piece Syd Lawrence Orchestra will provide the music and the judging panel will provide their opinions and scores - but don’t worry, if you don’t agree with them you can still vote for Alison and Graham by texting 70100 DANCE ALISON. It costs £1 and all the money goes to the charity.

Guests at the event will also be treated to dance displays by current BBC Strictly professionals Katya Virshilas and Pasha Kovalev.
