There is feverish activity amongst the members of Baldernock Gardening Club, as they make final preparations for their annual plant sale which takes place this Saturday, (April 26), in Milngavie and Bearsden Sports Club, Auchenhowie Road, Milngavie, between 11am and 12.45pm.
Visitors will find a wide selection of plants, from the tried and tested old favourites to the rarefied atmosphere of the more unusual - and all at good prices.
Don’t need to worry if you don’t know your geranium from your astilbe as the people manning the tables will be able to advise you on their suitability for your purpose.
There will also be a colourful selection of professionally grown bedding plants and shrubs, and last but by no means least, Buchley Eco-Centre, the trading arm of the Coach House Trust, will in attendance selling compost. In a change from previous years, there won’t be a tearoom but there will be plenty of heavenly home baking to take away and enjoy.
Admission is free and so is the car parking and plant crèche.
