Cash has been spent brining schools in Milngavie and Bearsden bang up to date with the latest technology.
A £600,000 modernisation programme is being rolled out across all schools.
It includes improved wi-fi coverage and the replacement of around 1000 computers.
The move will alloow schools to use more ‘mobile devices’ such as tablets in teaching.
The upgrades have been completed in all secondary schools with work in primary schools expected to be completed by the start of the new school term in August.
Convener of the Education Committee, Councillor Eric Gotts, said: “The council has made a significant financial investment to roll out this programme and already we have seen some fantastic developments, particularly within our secondary schools.
“Similar advances towards a more flexible and dynamic ICT environment to meet changing educational needs within our primary schools have already begun and we look forward to this being completed by the start of the new school year.”
