Renowned inter-war artist Domicele Tarabildiene (1912–1985) - whose spectrum of creative expression encompasses engraving, book illustration and applied graphics, painting, and sculpture - will have some of her work on show at The Lillie Art Gallery, Milngavie.

Her poetic and surreal photography, however, has only recently attracted public attention in Europe.

A total of 19 significant photographs from the early 1930s, most using the photomontage technique, and all featuring the artist as the model in the scenes will be on show and places Tarabildiene within a context of a European avant-garde, and something of a pioneer. The exhibition is held in association with Streetlevel Photoworks, and runs till March 20.
